Another Giveaway! Quilts from El's Kitchen

Hello Blog Buddies! Is everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving (except Canadian Blog Buddies who already had theirs)? I should be cleaning but have felt kind of yukky. Jason is going to be here from Dallas this afternoon late so I have to get ready for that. It will be good to see him. Our plans have changed (again) and now Gina is cooking instead of Eric. Eric has to be on call because the guy who was on call broke his leg skiing.

So I'm sure you're saying, blah, blah, blah--get to the giveaway! Well, I don't know if you have seen this but Eleanor Burns has a new book out:
She uses Apple of My Eye and other fabrics from Riley Blake Designs that were out of print. In honor of this book, Riley Blake re-printed some of these great apple fabrics! This is a fabulous book with the great instructions from Eleanor Burns. I learned to piece from her many years ago. She also has tons of yummy recipies in the book.
The sampler has a large center medallion with surrounding blocks, lattice and cornerstones. There is a choice of several borders. The one that is on the back of the book above, is the applique, scalloped border. Woot! I love it! We have some of the fabric and the book in the shop. We're giving away the book and a yard of Apple of My Eye Fabric that is used in the quilt:

    I am so thankful for my family! My dad is 89 and mom is 78 and I'm just so blessed to still have them here with us. Thanking God!

    I am very thankful for many things this year.First and foremost I am extremely thankful for my family I have been blessed with. I am also thankful to have recently celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary. And I am thankful my husband has a new job . And I am extremely thankful to be cancer free and on the mend now.     I'm thankful for my son. He helps me with chores that are difficult for me due to health issues. He also checks on my every day to make sure I'm doing okay. I love him dearly.
