Watching the Self-Pity Train Fade into the Distance...

I'm back! I ranted and complained and now I feel guilty. What I have just been through is nothing compared to what a lot of my friends and blog friends are going through. Sorry. It did make me feel better though. So guess what? Yesterday I got to sew!

I sewed together block one of the Civil War Sampler. I'm using my favorite fabric colors instead of Civil War reproductions. This is so much fun because, unlike the Farmer's Wife quilt top I did, these blocks can be done in 8" or 12" sizes instead of 6" like the FW quilt. I'm doing the 12" size blocks.
I did another of the Great Granny blocks in "Lori Holt green" and yellow:
AND I finished the six Scrappy Trip Around the World blocks i had started:

I'm still behind in writing for my "real job" but I HAD TO SEW. And now I feel better.

Hope your weekend was wonderful! XO and cheery wave from Bev

  4. So glad you feel better. It's frustrating when you don't feel up to doing the normal things. Sewing after a time away is always such a blessing. I haven't been at my machine for more than an hour for the past 4 weeks and I'm going into withdrawal!

  7. You don't need to feel guilty at all. It may be so that some people suffer terrible things, but that doesn't make your pain less! Anyhow I am glad you are feeling better and got back to sewing! Looks beautiful!
