Civil War Sampler Sunday

It's Sunday and the month is almost over. I'm still frantically working to try to get some hours worth of work done before tomorrow. I'm so far behind. I did take a little while to get one more block of the Civil War Sampler done. It's called Hovering Hawks.
I have to say that, individually, the blocks don't look all that great. They are plain, easy to sew blocks. But together they are looking pretty good. What do you think?
I had to put Block One in there twice to make the collage. The quilt has sashing and cornerstones. I like where it's going though. I'm making 35 blocks but there are a bunch more in the book. Fast and fun!

Hope you're having a relaxing Sunday! I'll announce the winner of the Halloween fabric tomorrow. XO and cheery wave from Bev

  3. I like the look of all the different blocks together. I think I will give it a try with Christmas fabrics.
