A BAD bite and a birthday!

I had so much to do this weekend....sigh.... On Saturday morning, I woke up and my left hand was swollen to a huge size. Apparently I was bitten by a spider. Not a brown recluse or fiddleback, thank goodness! I called my son Eric and he came over and treated it (paying for all those years of school paid off). Unfortunately for my work this weekend, nothing got done. I'm typing this with one hand.
My grandson, Sawyer, had a birthday on Sunday! He's 14 now. This photo is typical of Sawyer. When he isn't playing lacrosse, he hangs out with his loyal little dog, Cleo, that he's had his whole life. She follows him everywhere like a little shadow. He was always her baby. Here he is texting...as usual. Happy Birthday Sawyer!

    Ouch! Glad it wasn't a brown recluse either. We found one in our bedroom about a week ago.

    Oh no, I really don't like spiders, and now I like them even less! Hope your hand heals soon so you can get back to your sewing machine. Happy birthday to Sawyer and his sweet little doggie :-)

    So sorry about your hand, spider bites are just nasty little things. The picture is worth a MILLION words, a boy/man and his dog. I have two little miniature dachshunds and one of them follows every step I make. This weekend I took a shower and nearly had a heart attack when I pulled the shower curtain back and could see something black laying at the base of the tub... oh yes my first thought was snAAAAAke. But no, it was just Lucy, waiting on mama...
