MONDAY BLOG GIVEAWAY FOR 11/16/2009!!

IT'S THE 44th STREET FABRIC MONDAY BLOG GIVEAWAY!!! PRIZE AWARDED ON 11/16/2009!
First, thanks to everyone who entered last week and congratulations to Vicki Gurney! She is our last week's winner and has won a Rouennieries by French General charm pack! Vicki send me a convo with your address and I'll ship that right out!
Here are the rules for this week's giveaway:
Our giveaway is for Lily Pond fabric which is shown here. We got so many favorable comments on our last giveaway that we have decided to do another "Find Jaso" giveaway! It's kind of like "Find Waldo" but you will be looking for a photo of our CEO Jason in one of the Lily Pond listings on our Etsy shop (http://44thstreetfabric.etsy.com/). There are 9 listings for this fabric line and Jason's picture is on one of them. Just find it (it's not too far into the shop--shouldn't take you too long) and then enter the name of the fabric on the listing in a comment to this blog entry. Easy-peasy and you will be entered to win.
What is the prize this week? SIX 1/2 YARD CUTS (TOTAL 3 YARDS) OF LILY POND FABRIC! Comments will not be shown on the blog but you will be entered. Winner will be announced next Monday on the blog!
Let me know if you have questions and GOOD LUCK!!

LILY POND FABRIC BY WENDY SLOTBOOM IS BACK IN THE SHOP!!

Lily Pond fabric by Wendy Slotboom for In the Beginning Fabrics is BACK IN THE SHOP at 44th Street Fabric!! We fell in love with the Lily Pond fabric line back in May and sold out of most of it in 3 weeks! I couldn't believe it! So I re-ordered and had to wait for the 3rd printing! It's FINALLY here and the Lily Pond blue colorway is pictured here. We also have the pink which some of you might remember that I made a baby quilt from for little Dylan.
So if you are a fan of Lily Pond fabric, grab some before it's gone again! Oh--I almost forgot--the Frolic fabric line by Wendy Slotboom is coming to the shop in 2 weeks and the colors all coordinate! So the Lily Pond fabric will go with the Frolic fabric. I love that!
Don't forget to play our Monday Giveaway Game and find Jason (kind of like finding Waldo but easier).

YET ANOTHER BABY QUILT - LILY POND!

I've been back in the quilt studio--something about having another grandbaby puts me in the mood to made baby quilts. Here's the latest little utility quilt - nothing fancy but large enough to cover the car seat and still wrap around the baby (who is going to arrive around October 5th) or to put on the floor for baby to play on. It seems like it's difficult to find bigger quilts and blankets for baby. This little "Around the World" quilt was made with Lily Pond pinks which we sell in our store, 44th Street Fabric. I love the colors and I wish I was better with the camera and the colors. I also made a little bed for Charlie and Lola out of Goth Baby blue flannel. Charlie is hogging the bed but I'm glad he's enjoying it. I'm going to try to get the other two quilt tops quilted for the baby and maybe make some bibs, etc. with the scraps. So fun to have an excuse to play in the quilt studio!

LILY POND FABRIC COMING SOON!!

Shown are only a few of the adorable Lily Pond fabrics by one of our favorite designers, Wendy Slotboom for In the Beginning Fabrics! These fabrics and more from the Lily Pond fabric line will be in the 44th Street Fabric shop before June 1st (or so they say). We are so excited to have this line because little (and big) girls and boys love frogs and turtles and this is the first really cute line I've seen that feature these creepy crawlies for girls too! Fun, Fun, Fun!

I'll let you know when they arrive and I'll let you know the special we will have on them! Be thinking of all the things you can make. I have a new grandbaby coming (oh-did I mention that before....) and so I'll be all set to quilt and sew. You will want to be too!
