Farmer's Wife Aqua and Red blocks finished! And some dishes I love, love, love!

While we were all hopping through the Grow Your Blog Hop, I was also finishing the last of the blocks for the Farmer's Wife table topper (or wall hanging or baby quilt)! All I have left to do is the sashing and borders. For those of you who may not know, I used Karen Walker's easy methods that you can find HERE. So much faster than using all the little templates! My blog post and giveaway for Grow Your Own Blog Hop is HERE. You can enter to win a free quilt pattern!

Thanks to all my regular readers who went through all the blocks with me! Here's the collage I made with all 25 blocks!
While I'm adding the finishing touches to this top, I'll be working on items from the UFO boxes. I just love showing you my progress and getting your comments! You really help me with design decisions! It's almost as good as having you come by and spend time in the sewing room!

So what are you working on today? I'm working on my "real job" and have a new client! I get to write about jewelry today and it's really beautiful stuff! It's funny, I'm so hermitized in my old age that I never wear any jewelry at all. What I want to write about is Marieke red check dishes! Have you seen them?

They are just to die for! Look at the stitches! Stitches, checks and red! Achhhhh! They would look so cute on my Farmer's Wife table topper! You can find them HERE but you can also find better prices on eBay and Amazon and other places. I have less than no money right now because of my darling little Charlie (who is doing fine btw - his heart meds are working great right now), I can't buy anything! But if I win the lottery...or get enough money to buy a ticket.....lol.

Well, have a great Monday! Don't forget to enter my giveaway! XO and cheery wave from Bev

  3. Love the Farmer's Wife blocks, the colors are so pretty. 30 plus years ago I had glasses that had the red/white checked on them. I don't know why, I gave them to my sister who still has them. They would go great with the dishes.

  5. I am in love with those dishes. I bookmarked the page, but I need to find them a little cheaper because I don't need 8 of each and I can't justify the cost to my husband since we already have about 10 different sets of dishes.

  6. Love the blocks and the dishes. Anything with red really sets off a dining table.

  7. I love your Farmer's Wife blocks, and those dishes are great! I'm going to undergo chemotherapy soon and am trying to think of some crafts to work on during my treatment sessions. Do you think hand sewing quilt blocks is a good idea?

  8. I love your blocks and the dishes but they might be a little much together. You will probably enjoy Charlie more than the dishes.
