BLUSH FABRIC BY BASIC GREY - PREVIEW

Blush fabric from Moda will be in the 44th Street Fabric shop in January! By popular request, we are doing little previews of fabric. I love the Blush fabric line because it utilizes pastels and dark colors in a fresh, contemporary combination. As you can see from the quilt in the pattern shown above (click here to get pattern for free) the Blush fabric colors all go together in a yummy way I couldn't have predicted (guess that's why I'm not a designer).

NAUTICAL & NICE BY SANDY GERVAIS - PREVIEW

Here's a little preview of some of the Nautical & Nice fabric by Sandy Gervais for Moda that will be in the store in January! We had a GIANT blizzard here in Oklahoma (biggest in our history) and I'm already thinking of summer and of what I can sew that will be fun! The little sailboat panel is so cute! This fabric will make a great wall hanging, baby quilt (we have a pattern coming to make one of those-using the panel) or any other project that's Nautical and Nice!

PATTERNS, PATTERNS, PATTERNS!! AND DOGS WITH NO CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

At 44th Street Fabric we know that you are getting ready for the holidays and you've already done any sewing for gifts. Yes, unlike me, your finished projects are already wrapped up and under the tree--right?

So now it's time for you to think about Spring! Spring sewing projects are best done during the really cold and great to be inside months coming up. I call it "Sewing Season"! At any rate, if you are like I am, you are thinking of things you want to make after the holidays have ended and the decorations are stored away for next year. My quiet times during the holidays are spent choosing patterns to make and then browsing fabrics for those patterns.

Well, in the event you have a process somewhat like mine, here's a little sample of just a few of the new patterns we are listing in the shop. We tried to have a variety of fun things to sew including bags, charm quilt patterns (for those fun little charm packs), childrens clothes, aprons, toys, pin cushions and more!

We are wishing a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our wonderful customers. Keep watching our shop for new fabric and patterns, our blog for new Blog Fabric Giveaways (be sure and enter to win) and our blog for Charlie and Lola's (our little canine assistants) Christmas photo greeting! We are attempting a video but still working on that one...sigh....you wouldn't believe the lenghts they go to just to rid themselves of their Christmas outfits....sigh...

L'AMOUR FABRIC BY SANDY GERVAIS FOR MODA IS IN THE SHOP!

Gorgeous Lamour fabric designed by Sandy Gervais for Moda is in the 44th Street Fabric shop. Pictured is one of our combo listings (you will save if you by the combo listings we have for almost all of our fabric lines)!

Romantic L'Amour fabric is just what I've been looking for in a Valentine's Day fabric that can be used for oh so many other things! I love this versatile fabric that has a red that is really red! I can see it made into bags, clothing, bedding, to decorate a room, a baby quilt and more. We are looking for projects to make from this fabric--if you have any ideas, let me know.

We LOVED Feathered Friends fabric designed by Wendy Slotboom and were so sorry when we ran out and were told that we couldn't get more! But, Eureka!, we found some! Stop by 44th Street Fabric and see the Feathered Friends fabric that we have back in stock and save with the Feathered Friends combo shown here! Feathered Friends fabric makes a really cute tote bag or quilt and is great in home dec projects! Watch for Feathered Friends to maybe be included in one of our future blog giveaways!

LOVE U FABRIC IS IN THE SHOP! SO CUTE!

LOVE U fabric by Deb Strain for Moda is now available at 44th Street Fabric! I've shown you on of my favorites, the ABC fabric in pretty pink with the coordinating dot fabric and the Snails and Turtles fabric in orange with the coordinating dot fabric just to show you how cute it is! In fact, I got a little note from Moda that came with the fabric that said they were cutting our orders short because this line was the most popular they have had in years and they wanted to make sure everyone got their order. Wow - that's really saying something considering they just came out with French General and sold out of it right away....hum... So you can see the rest of it (what we have left) in our Etsy shop and on the website. Just thought I'd show you cause the Love U line is so cute!

My friend Joann is doing patterns for little ones and is using Just Dreamy Fabric for her models! How cute are these!! I adore the little appliques on the bibs and the little pockets on the rompers! Sooo darling! Just had to show you. She has just started her pattern company and if you are interested in a pattern, you can contact her (until she gets her fancy-schmancy web site up and running) at abner2009@comcast.net. I don't have an embroidery machine but I'm tempted after seeing those little appliques (who am I kidding--I don't have a kazillion dollars to buy an embroidery machine)! These little outfits would look cute without the embroidery too though. Thanks for giving us a sneak peek Joann! We love them!

IZZY AND IVY PATTERNS SO MUCH FUN!

Izzy & Ivy patterns for bags, quilts and little girls' clothing are favorites at 44th Street Fabric! Izzy and Ivy patterns are simple and easy to make but really nice looking. I looked everywhere for a little girl's dress pattern that would look good made from Rouenneries fabric by French General and I think that the Princess Bella Pattern will be perfect! It looks very French Country to me. The other little dresses and the bags will look great from Frolic, Lily Pond, Love U, Attitude Girls and other fabric lines we carry. And of course, the little quilt is made from Just Dreamy fabric that we carry. Be sure to visit our store and pick up a few patterns to get an early start on your Christmas or Easter projects (what cute Easter dresses these patterns would make) or to make a baby quilt or stitch up a tote bag or purse for yourself or to sell.

ATTITUDE GIRLS FABRIC DILEMMA (AND A CUTE KITTY)

Attitude Girls fabric from Mary Engelbreit is so happy and fun! I've been trying to decide whether to use the black or the yellow for a tote bag--what do you think? Either of these adorable Attitude Girl fabrics would work for a bag using the red on white polka dot for the lining. Humm...maybe I'll make them both! Stop by our shop if you want to see the Attitude Girls fabric we got!

If you are wondering what the surprised kitten video has to do with the Attitude Girls fabric...nothing except they are both really cute! The surprised kitten looks like something right out of a Mary Englebreit drawing! Don't tell Charlie and Lola but I just love the little kittens....
