AMY BUTLER LITTLE STITCHES FOR LITTLE ONES NOW AT 44TH STREET FABRIC!

As I'm sure most of you know and are sick of hearing, I'm going to be a Grandmother again! I also love to quilt! When we decided to add patterns and books to 44th Street Fabric's store, I must admit I have been looking with sewing for baby and quilting in mind.
We were so happy to find this huge book from Amy Butler just chock full of patterns and ideas for both newborns and toddlers! These pages show maybe 1/3 of what is in this book! If you've priced Amy Butler patterns, you know that this book is the price of one pattern! You will love, love, love this book! Thanks Amy Butler!

BABY BLOOMERS-NEWBORN SIZE SO CUTE!!

We are stocking this pattern in our shop, 44th Street Fabric, and I decided to make a pair for my new grandbaby (did I tell you I'm having a new grandbaby). I used Darla fabric by Tanya Whelan and these little bloomers are so cute and tiny (I wish you could see how tiny) that I can't stand it. I had to share! Not that I'm a great seamstress (I'm a quilter) but this is an easy pattern and I just think it is precious. Now I have to find a onesie and applique something on it to go with the bloomers....a Grammy's work is never done!

YET ANOTHER BABY QUILT - LILY POND!

I've been back in the quilt studio--something about having another grandbaby puts me in the mood to made baby quilts. Here's the latest little utility quilt - nothing fancy but large enough to cover the car seat and still wrap around the baby (who is going to arrive around October 5th) or to put on the floor for baby to play on. It seems like it's difficult to find bigger quilts and blankets for baby. This little "Around the World" quilt was made with Lily Pond pinks which we sell in our store, 44th Street Fabric. I love the colors and I wish I was better with the camera and the colors. I also made a little bed for Charlie and Lola out of Goth Baby blue flannel. Charlie is hogging the bed but I'm glad he's enjoying it. I'm going to try to get the other two quilt tops quilted for the baby and maybe make some bibs, etc. with the scraps. So fun to have an excuse to play in the quilt studio!
