AT LAST! SWEET BY MODA IS HERE!

We've waited and waited to get the Sweet line of fabric we ordered from Moda. Finally we were able to get some of this wonderful fabric! Jason (co-owner of 44th Street Fabric) actually went to the Moda warehouse in Dallas and picked up som fabric! I've shown a few of these fabrics here just to show you how yummy and cute they are! Look at those little birds! I LOVE them!

I also put up a photo of the quilt Moda is showing which was made from this fabric line. I got some patterns and instead of selling them, we are going to give them to anyone who buys at least 3 yards of Sweet (while supplies last). I want to make this quilt myself....when I have time! Please stop by the Etsy store and take a look at all our new fabric!

NEW CHRISTMAS FABRIC!

Add Image

Here's a little preview of some of the Christmas fabric we have ordered for this year. We are DETERMINED to start our Christmas projects early--as soon as the fabric comes in April or May! It could happen......

The beauty of this little fabric, called Funky Christmas, is that we have also ordered tons of coordinating fabric to go with it. I see Christmas tree skirts, stockings, baby outfits (did I mention I'm going to have another grandbaby--or maybe two)? And I am visualizing these projects completed by August....completed by August.....completed by August....

CONFESSIONS OF A FABRIC ADDICT!

I have always loved fabric! I do sew and quilt but I would have fabric around me even if I didn't. I just love it. I have a theory about my fabric addiction. The fabric is coated with a chemical that prevents fading while the fabric is on the shelf. I think I am addicted to that chemical! When I get new fabric I like to stroke it and inhale deeply. Immediately I relax.....ahhhhhh..... The thing about this chemical is that it has some side effects for those who are addicted to it! It causes a sense of well-being but also a "budget memory lapse" and a desire to acquire more fabric. The cure is not found at 44th Street Fabric but you can certainly get your "fix" there! Fabric addicts are welcome!
